Hello All! I had an AMAZING baby shower. The day was perfect and I got so many great presents! Nick and I are counting down the days and are so anxious about her arrival. Hope all is well with everyone, much love!

It’s been awhile since my last post, The holidays kept Nick and I very busy! We had an amazing visit with my family and hosted our very 1st Christmas (with mom and dad’s help, of course). I’ve been busy nesting and the nursery is almost finished (pictures to follow when completed). I’m back in school now with 2 classes and Its becoming increasingly difficult to maneuver into the tiny desks at the college…haha! She will be here before I know it and I can hardly wait to see what she looks like! Hope all is well with everyone!

Everyone keeps asking me: Have you felt her move? This is so hard for me to answer how are you supposed to know what something you have never felt before feels like or if you are actually feeling what you are thinking you’re feeling…so confusing! But I’m almost 100% sure I defiantly felt a slight flick in my belly this morning and it completely took me by surprise! WHOA!
Strange and amazingly comforting to feel her really move for the first time…almost as if she was saying “I’m still in here mommy!”

17 Weeks…time is flying by!

I’m 17 weeks today and just starting to feel her move….it’s possibly the strangest feeling I have ever experienced but so wonderful too! Craving lot’s of sour things and anything that has to do with apples. Christmas is right around the corner and I’m so excited to see my parents and brother (Taelyn is excited too, she can’t wait to hear her grandma and grandpa’s voice for the first time)! Today Nick and I went to a special place that does 3D/4D ultra sounds to find out what the sex of the baby was. With 99.9% certainty she told us it was a girl!!!! YAY! We couldn’t be happier! Her name will be Taelyn Reese.

Not feeling so good today, one of the many syptoms of pregnancy is heartburn. How come no one told me this?? Home remedies: sleep with head elevated (causes crick in neck), do not bend down within a half hour of eating (what?)…All these are totally bogus. I know this is a blog to update you on the pregnancy, but this is a joyous part of pregnancy, No?

Hi Friends and Family!

Nick and I are very excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby! The due date is May, 14th 2010. We are over the moon with excitement and joy! We wanted to keep in touch with all our friends & family that live so far away and be able to give updates on the pregnancy and our life as we embark on this crazy journey! So here it is, I will try and update as much as I can and post pictures along the way as well. Please feel free to forward the blog address to anyone I may have missed! YAY!
